Brief About Prof. Dr. Ozer Makay
Dr. Ozer Makay, a highly skilled General Surgeon with over 15 years of experience, specializes in various general surgery procedures. He completed his medical education at Ege University, School of Medicine, and underwent residency, internship, and fellowship under the guidance of renowned surgeons and professors.
Dr. Makay is the first Turkish surgeon to pass the ‘UEMS Board Examination for Endocrine Surgery’ and earn the ‘Fellow of European Board of Surgery – div. Endocrine Surgery’. He initiated the ‘Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy Programme’ in 2008 and contributed to the launch of the ‘Robotic Surgery Programme’ in 2012 at Ege University.
Dr. Makay excels in endocrine and robotic surgery, along with performing procedures such as obesity surgery, gastroenterologic surgery, and colorectal cancer surgeries. He has been recognized with 17 awards for his research presented at national and international congresses and is a member of the European Board of Endocrine Surgery Committee.
Dr. Makay has contributed to numerous publications and participated in various conferences worldwide as a speaker, guest surgeon, and instructor. His special interests include endocrine surgery, reflux surgery, obesity surgery, and gastroenterology surgery.
