The Digestive Health Institute in Mumbai was established in 2004 under the name of the Centre for Obesity and Digestive Surgery. Dr. Muffazal (Dr. Muffi) Lakdawala, a renowned expert in scarless bariatric surgery, founded this institute. It has gained recognition as the top center in India and Asia for performing laparoscopic and Single Incision GI surgeries.
