The Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata (I-NK), was established by Dr R P Sengupta, a renowned neurosurgeon who has been practicing in England since 1961 but has his roots in Kolkata.
Dr. Robin Sengupta has founded and largely funded this charitable company, which aims to provide treatment for neurological disorders in both adults and children. Situated in the heart of Kolkata, this Neurosciences Institute, which spans across 195 beds, offers comprehensive programs for neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-rehabilitation, and neuropsychiatry. It serves as an advanced facility for Neurosurgery and related treatments in the Eastern region of India.
The hospital has been accredited by NABH since 2016 and is equipped with state-of-the-art Molecular Pathology accredited by NABL since 2021. The premises consist of 11 fully furnished Examination Rooms, each equipped with an examination couch, viewing box for equipment, computer, and nurse.
In addition to consultations with specialists in Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry, the clinic also caters to related specialties such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Diabetology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, and Abdominal Surgery.
