Medsurge India is delighted to share that a two-day medical camp was successfully conducted on 27th & 28th November 2025 at Fortis Information Centre, Kampala, Uganda, in collaboration with Fortis Hospital.
The camp featured consultations with two renowned Indian specialists from Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, Dr. Amol Balvant Akhade (Cancer Specialist, 18+ years of experience) and Dr. Gurneet Singh Sawhney (Neurospine Surgeon, 17+ years of experience), who traveled to Uganda to provide expert guidance and second opinions.
Key Highlights of the Camp
More than 50 patients participated in the camp, discussing their health concerns and receiving personalised, in-depth medical guidance. A wide range of conditions was assessed, including cancer diagnosis, tumor management, spine disorders, chronic pain, neurological issues, and post-surgical complications.
Dr. Amol Akhade provided detailed evaluations for oncology cases and explained treatment options available in India and worldwide. Dr. Gurneet Singh Sawhney examined complex spine and neurological conditions, offering insights into minimally invasive, robotic, and advanced surgical procedures.
Many attendees gained clarity on previously confusing diagnoses and felt more confident about their next steps.
Several patients also registered for further evaluations, medical-travel support, and treatment planning through Medsurge India, appreciating the rare opportunity to consult top specialists without travelling abroad.
