Brief About Dr. Deepak G Chhabra
Dr. Deepak G Chhabra is a Surgical Oncologist with 12 years of experience. He currently serves as a Visiting Consultant at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai, India. Dr. Chhabra completed his MS and DNB and received specialized oncosurgical training in Mumbai. He also passed the Membership examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK during his training.
Dr. Chhabra has published numerous papers in National & International Peer review journals and has contributed to book chapters. He has presented his work at various national and international conferences and has been invited to speak at surgical oncology discussions in Mumbai and across India.
Dr. Chhabra has also been involved as a co-investigator for research trials related to gastrointestinal cancers and neuroendocrine tumors of the gastrointestinal system. He serves as the clinical co-ordinator of the Asia-Pacific Neuroendocrine tumor registry (AP-NET registry) in India. His special interest lies in the treatment of gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreato-biliary cancers, including major gastric resections, liver resections, radiofrequency ablation for liver tumors, pancreatic resections, colonic resections, and sphincter saving surgeries for low rectal cancers. Additionally, he regularly performs breast cancer surgeries, utero-ovarian cancer surgeries, and chemotherapy port placements.
