Brief About Dr. Indira Hinduja
Dr. Indira Hinduja is a highly esteemed IVF specialist based in Mumbai, India. With an impressive 46 years of experience, she is recognized as one of the most renowned gynecologists, obstetricians, and infertility specialists in the country.
Dr. Hinduja has made significant contributions to the field of reproductive medicine, including pioneering the Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT) technique, which led to the birth of India’s first GIFT baby on January 4, 1988. She also delivered India’s first test tube baby at KEM Hospital on August 6, 1986.
Additionally, Dr. Hinduja is credited with developing an oocyte donation technique for menopausal and premature ovarian failure patients, resulting in the country’s first baby born through this technique on January 24, 1991. Dr. Hinduja’s interests lie in High-Risk Pregnancy Care, In Vitro Fertilization (Test Tube Baby), Obstetrics / Antenatal Care, and Gynae Problems.
