Brief About Dr. Raghuram Mallaiah
Dr. Raghuram Mallaiah is a highly experienced General Paediatrician and Neonatologist based in New Delhi, India. With over 25 years of expertise in the field, he has successfully performed various procedures such as resuscitation, intubation, and ventilation on newborn infants. He is particularly skilled in conducting exchange transfusions for newborns with rhesus incompatibility and partial exchange transfusions for babies with symptomatic polycythemia.
Dr. Mallaiah obtained his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in 1994 and pursued postgraduate training in paediatrics and neonatology in the United Kingdom from 1994 to 2004. He also holds an MRCP(UK) paediatrics qualification earned in 1999. Throughout his career, he has gained valuable experience as a Fellow in PICU at Newcastle General Hospital, a Registrar in Neonatology at Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle upon Tyne, and a Fellow in Neonatology at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London, UK.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mallaiah has been actively involved in sharing his knowledge and expertise through presentations at prestigious national and international societies such as the Neonatal Society of England, the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London, the RCOG annual session in Delhi, and the AICOG in Delhi. He is also the founder of the Breast Milk Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to human milk banking, and has established the first Milk Banks in Delhi and Bangalore.
Dr. Mallaiah’s special interests include the treatment of Malaria, Jaundice, Chickenpox, Typhoid Fever, and various vaccinations and immunizations. He is also well-versed in providing care for newborns, managing infectious diseases, treating fevers, and handling fractures and other injuries in children. With his extensive experience and dedication to his field, Dr. Mallaiah is committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients.
