Dr. Ramakant Deshpande Surgical Oncologist, Mumbai, India Consultant with 30 years of experience , Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai Highlights Dr. Ramakant Deshpande is a surgeon with over 30 years of expertise. His expertise is in the treatment of Esophageal Lung, Esophageal wall Mediastinal pediatric tumor and Thoracoscopy/Robotic Surgery. The doctor was the very first to pioneer Thoracoscopic Surgery at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. After having completed the MBBS in Karnataka Medical College, he completed his MS from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and was awarded higher degrees like FICS, DHA, and FAIS. Dr. Deshpande has received numerous distinctions and awards for his work in medicine. He was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award given by the Government of India, in 2014. He was awarded the Game Changers Award by The HR Club on 7 February 2015. He has also published in various international and national journals. He is acknowledged over 50 publications, including articles and books that have been published in journals of international repute.
