Brief about Dr. Salim Kanaan
Dr. Salim Kanaan is a highly accomplished Consultant Neurosurgeon with over 27 years of experience, specializing in brain and spine tumors. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he completed his MD and residency at the American University of Beirut and advanced training in Neurosurgical Oncology at the University of Texas – MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA.
Dr. Kanaan has led neurosurgery departments across top hospitals in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, introducing advanced techniques such as intra-operative monitoring, neuro-navigation, and awake craniotomy. His clinical expertise spans complex brain tumor surgeries, spine procedures, intracranial hemorrhage management, and neurovascular interventions. He is also a published researcher in leading neurosurgical journals.
