Saifee Hospital Mumbai is established in 2005, and this hospital is ISO and NABH-accredited. There was the old Saifee Hospital which was functioning since 1948. Construction for a new hospital on existing premises was commenced in 2001. The new hospital was commissioned in June 2005 in the presence of former Prime Minister of India- Dr. Manmohan Singh.
This hospital has been dedicated by Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin to his father Syedna Taher Saifuddin. The specialties of this multi-specialty Saifee hospital range from simple Daycare procedures to acute care emergency medicine and complex Cardiac surgery. In the 2011 Mumbai bombings, the hospital provided free treatment to those affected people of the bomb blast. Saifee Hospital features the first LASIK suite (for advanced laser eye surgery) in India.
