Buddhachinaraj Phitsanulok Hospital is classified as a regional hospital by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) for Phitsanulok Province, Thailand. Since its founding in 1940, the hospital has gradually expanded.

Despite having a theoretical full capacity of 1100 beds, it routinely experiences overcrowding and overcapacity, like most regional hospitals. Residency training is available in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and surgery at our hospital.

• As part of the Collaborative Project to Increase Production of Rural Doctors, it is accredited for residency training in internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and surgery. It also serves as a teaching hospital for the Prince of Songkhla University Faculty of Medicine (CPIRD).
