Brief About Dr. Sumit Singh
Dr Sumit Singh is a highly renowned and experienced Neurologist in India. With over 19 years of thriving experience, he has played a crucial role in establishing the first headache clinic and neuromuscular disorders clinic in north India at AIIMS. Dr Singh obtained his MBBS from M.L.B. Medical College Jhansi and MD (Medicine) from L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut. He further pursued his DM (Neurology) from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr Singh introduced the use of botulinum toxin for the first time in the country and expanded its application in trigeminal neuralgia.
He specializes in treating Spasticity, Limb dystonias, hemi facial spasm, oral dyskinesias, spasmodic dysphonia, and writer’s cramp, making him one of the few neurologists in India with expertise in these areas. Dr Singh has also developed innovative plasma exchange protocols for acute neuropathies, Myasthenia crisis, Polymyositis, and Multiple Sclerosis, being the first neurologist in the country to introduce specialized protocols for the latter. He actively participates in various neurological societies, including the Neurological Society of India, Indian Academy of Neurology, Delhi Neurological Association, International Headache Society, and Movement Disorders Society.
