KIMS Global Trivandrum launched in 2002, is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in South India with global outreach. This is the first hospital in India with both National and International accreditations - National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standard International (ACHSI).
The laboratory of the KIMS hospital, Trivandrum is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories (NABL) and the blood bank is accredited by NABH. In 2003, KIMS Global, Trivandrum was awarded the ISO 9001: 2000 for quality. In 2005, the Cardiac Surgical department of KIMS Global Hospital, Trivandrum achieved the first Awake Open Heart Surgery, closing a large hole in the heart of the patient. It was the first case in Kerala and the second in India.
