Story of Oldest Living Person Kane Tanaka

Who is Kana Tanaka?

A healthy diet for a woman can ensure a long life for her, and Kana Tanaka, a citizen of Japan is a living example of this. She is the oldest woman, alive. She has extended her record and celebrated her 119th birthday on 3rd January 2022. Tanaka rang in the New Year and celebrated her birthday in a nursing facility in Fukuoka, Japan, according to numerous Japanese media reports. Tanaka’s age was first recorded in March 2019, when she was 116 years old. Tanaka, who was born in 1903, broke the Japanese record for years lived in September 2020, when she became 117 years and 261 days old. She memorably posed for photographers with a peace sign while drinking a Coke on that occasion (she has an affection for carbonated drinks).

Tanaka has lived through five Japanese monarchies and two world wars. She was born six months before British author George Orwell, the same year the Wright brothers made their maiden-powered flight. Tanaka is the youngest of nine siblings and married at the age of 19. When her husband and eldest son were fighting in the Second Sino-Japanese War, which began in 1937, she supported her family by owning a noodle store. In Japan, the number of centenarians has risen. Jiroemon Kimura, also of Japan, was the world’s oldest man when he died in 2013 at the age of 116. Jeanne Calment, a French super-centenarian, lived to reach 122 years old, making her the oldest confirmed known individual in history. In 1997, she passed away.

Secrets of Long life of Kana Tanaka

Kane wants to keep her mind busy, so she gets up at 6 a.m. on a regular routine at the nursing home.

She enjoys number puzzles and studies arithmetic in the afternoons, which is her everyday habit.

She was an active participant in the operation of her family’s grocery shops until she was 103 years old. Kane Tanaka was, in reality, preparing to carry the Olympic torch ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, which had been postponed.

Her passion for carbonated beverages hasn’t waned. Chocolate and fizzy beverages, according to her great-granddaughter, are the centenarian’s guilty loves.

Tanaka claims that her family, her trust in God, sleeping well, staying cheerful and hopeful, eating properly, and practicing mathematics have all contributed to her longevity.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, one of Kane’s favorite pleasures is playing Othello, and she’s become adept at the traditional board game, regularly defeating the staff.

Kane Tanaka has a loving family, but she resides in a nursing facility and hadn’t seen her great-granddaughter since December — a measure (of social isolation) imposed by the growing COVID-19 epidemic.

Kane Tanaka is of Japanese descent and enjoys the privilege of being a citizen of a nation with one of the greatest life expectancy rates in the world – 84.2 years, according to the World Health Organization. The family and society’s feeling of community, inclusion and care for the elderly keeps their stress levels low and the society culturally rich.

The Japanese don’t eat until they’re full; instead, they until they are around 80% full.

The Japanese diet mainly comprises fermented foods, roots, greens, and fish.

Living a Healthy Life

Over the thirty years, a large-scale prospective cohort study in the United States looked at the health habits of roughly 120,000 persons. This data was used to figure out how lifestyle variables influenced longevity and the chance of mortality from non-communicable illnesses including heart disease and cancer.

Tips for Healthy Living

Following the five essential tips for healthy living

A Healthy Diet

healthy diet

A healthy diet consists of eating a range of foods in the proper quantities and ingesting enough calories to maintain a healthy body weight. Although this varies depending on the individual, as a general rule, this should include:

A third of your daily dietary intake should be made up of at least five servings of fruits and vegetables. People who achieve this threshold have a decreased chance of acquiring certain malignancies and heart problems, according to research. According to one meta-analysis, there is a dose-response association between fruit and vegetable intake and illness, with the risk of mortality from heart disease decreasing by 8% every part of fruit or vegetables ingested daily, up to ten pieces, and the risk of cancer decreasing by 3% per portion.

Starchy foods, especially wholegrain types, which contain more fiber and nutrients than white kinds, are a good source of fiber and nutrients. Whole grains have been demonstrated to lower the incidence of numerous malignancies, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease, as well as encourage the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.

Fish, eggs, and white meat are high in lean proteins, which are necessary for cellular repair and supply a variety of vitamins and minerals.

Dairy foods and their substitutes, which are high in protein and calcium, are a rich source of protein.

Unsaturated fats are in short supply.

Physical Activity

physical activity

There is a lot of benefits of exercise. Everyone should engage in regular physical exercise, including at least thirty minutes of moderate aerobic activity per day, supported by at least two weight-bearing activity sessions per week, according to the World Health Organization. Physical fitness helps to avoid illnesses including cardiovascular disease, some malignancies, diabetes mellitus, and osteoporosis, as well as secondary prevention (i.e., the worsening of symptoms).

Healthy Body Weight

Maintaining a healthy body weight is important for general health and can prevent you from a variety of ailments. The body mass index (BMI), which is a calculation of body fat based on height and weight, can be a good predictor of whether or not a person’s weight is healthy. A normal BMI value is between 18.5 and 24.9, whereas a score of 25.0 – 29.9 suggests obesity and a score of 30+ denotes overweight. Higher BMI values indicate an increased risk of various ailments, including:

Obesity leads to the development of illness by modifying the hormonal and metabolic profile and increasing the physical strain on numerous bodily locations and organs.

Smoking Tobacco

There is no such thing as a safe amount of tobacco consumption or smoking habit. As a result, having never smoked is connected with the best health results.

Approximately eight million people die each year as a result of smoking-related illnesses, with smoking accounting for over 70% of all lung cancer cases. It can also cause cancer in the esophagus, mouth, and throat, as well as the pancreas, stomach, and liver. Smoking harms the heart and circulatory system, increasing the risk of coronary artery disease, stroke, vascular disease, and myocardial infarction.

Reduced Alcohol Consumption

A reasonable amount of alcohol intake for men is one to two drinks per day, while for women it is one drink per day. Consumption of alcohol at levels higher than this raises the likelihood of negative health consequences. Overconsumption, for example, can boost blood triglycerides, raising the risk of heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, and cardiac arrhythmia are all possible side effects.

Yoga a Way of Living

Story of Oldest Living Person Kane Tanaka

In Sanskrit, the term ‘yoga’ means ‘to unite.’ In basic terms, yoga is a strategy for aligning our body, mind, and spirit to achieve perfect balance and harmony in our lives. It’s more than simply a workout routine; it’s a way of life. Meditation is emphasized in addition to a sequence of yoga postures and breathing exercises for mental well-being and enjoyment.

Yoga allows us to strengthen our bodies, refocus our minds, and boost our self-esteem. Those who practice yoga as a way of life have happier, healthier, stress-free lives with more tolerance and inner serenity. They are more in charge of their emotions.

We’re all too busy, and we don’t have time to exercise or rest. Hypertension, diabetes, obesity, back and neck discomfort, and other lifestyle disorders are the result of this. Regular yoga practice can be extremely beneficial in avoiding or curing ailments. Yoga allows us to become more aware of ourselves and our true potential.

Yoga is a 5000-year-old Indian tradition that continues to be relevant and helpful today. On the recommendation of our prime minister, the 21st of June has been designated as International Yoga Day to raise global awareness of yoga. Let us all strive for true happiness by adopting this healthy lifestyle.
