Dr. Anil Bhan is a well-known Cardiovascular surgeon in India. He has the most experience in aortic surgery in India. He has designed and developed over 50 surgical instruments in the field of cardiac surgery. Dr. Bhan was a member of the team that performed the first successful heart transplant in India (1994).
He was involved in the establishment of three cardiac surgical programmes: Putta-parthi in 1992, Whitefield in 2001, and the Max Heart and Vascular Institute in Saket (2004). He has performed over 15,000 cardiac and vascular procedures with excellent results, on par with the best in the world.
