Prof. Dr. Halil Türkoglu graduated from Hacettepe University with a degree in Chest and Cardiovascular Surgery in 1979. In addition, he received his medical qualification in Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery in 2011. Meanwhile, he studied medicine at Hacettepe University and the Deutsches Herzzentrum in Berlin, Germany.
