Brief About Dr. Altamash Shaikh
Dr. Altamash Shaikh is a highly experienced Endocrinologist based in Mumbai, India. With over 22 years of experience in the field, he is a Senior Consultant at Saifee Hospital. Dr. Shaikh is a dedicated member of the Indian Medical Association and Maharashtra Medical Council. He completed his MBBS in 2001, ranking highly at Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health and Science. He further pursued his DNB in General Medicine from Port Trust Hospital, Wadala in 2017, and his DNB in Endocrinology from P.D. Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai in 2008.
Dr. Shaikh is actively involved in organizing Diabetes education programs and has played a key role in establishing the Diabetic Clinic. He has also participated in numerous national and international workshops and training programs to continuously enhance his knowledge and skills. Dr. Shaikh is passionate about teaching and is actively involved in educating medical students, family physicians, and paramedical staff.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shaikh has contributed to various research efforts, resulting in co-authored articles. He also serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals. His areas of special interest include weight (obesity) management, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, growth and puberty disorders, pituitary and adrenal disorders, Cushing Syndrome, gestational diabetes, gigantism and acromegaly, hyperprolactinemia, and hyperthyroidism.
