Dr. Shashidhara Gosikere Matta is a highly experienced surgical gastroenterologist with over 12 years of expertise. He has successfully performed more than 5500 surgical procedures, always maintaining the highest professional standards. Dr. Matta specializes in the management of upper GI, endocrine, trauma surgery, colorectal surgery, and therapeutic endoscopic interventions.
Prior to his current position at Manipal Hospitals Life’s On in Whitefield, Bangalore, India, Dr. Matta served as a consultant colorectal surgeon at renowned hospitals in the UK. He has actively participated in numerous medical conferences and events, further enhancing his knowledge and skills in the field.
Dr. Matta is a proud member of both the Karnataka Medical Council and the General Medical Council in the UK. His educational background includes an MBBS degree from Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College (JJMMC) in Karnataka, an MS in general surgery from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital in Mumbai, and an FRCS in general surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (RCPS) in Glasgow.
