Dr. Suresh Vijan is a highly experienced Interventional Cardiologist with over 29 years of expertise. He is currently practicing at Fortis Hospital in Mulund, Mumbai, India. Dr. Vijan’s areas of specialization include Cardiac Catheterisation, Angiography, Coronary Angioplasty, Peripheral Vascular Angiography, Angioplasty, Electro Physiology, Catheter Ablation, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Pacemaker Implantation, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Carotid Angiography, and Septal ablation for Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.
Dr. Vijan is renowned for his pioneering work in the field of Interventional Cardiology. He was the first to implant the AICD in Bombay and perform the main drug-eluting stenting in Bombay. He also introduced the technique of dual-chamber pacing in India and worked on AXXESS bifurcation stenting in Asia. Due to his expertise, he has been elected as a Proctor for AXXESS bifurcation stents. Dr. Vijan has been at the forefront of Interventional Cardiology with the implantation of the intracoronary stent.
