Mersin City Training and Research Hospital, situated in the Mediterranean Region, is the largest healthcare facility in the area. It boasts a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure and offers a wide range of medical specialties.

The hospital was inaugurated in February 2017 with a grand ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. With a capacity of 1300 beds, including 210 beds in the intensive care unit, the hospital provides a level of comfort comparable to that of a luxurious 5-star hotel. Patients can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi services throughout their stay. Each room is equipped with a television, and patients are given the opportunity to choose their preferred TV channels. The hospital’s kitchen is staffed by experienced cooks who prepare special and on-demand food lists.

Notably, Mersin City Training and Research Hospital is the first project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model to be financed through a funding agreement. In 2014, it received the prestigious ‘Best PPP Project’ award from a renowned magazine of the same name. Furthermore, the hospital has been evaluated by the international nonprofit organization HIMMS for its digital hospital capabilities and has been rated as a Stage 6 hospital on the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM).
