Dr. (Col.) Saumitra Sircar is an experienced Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon based in Kolkata, India. Dr. Sircar is a distinguished member of the Indian Society for Hip and Knee Surgeons and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
He obtained his graduation degree from Patna Medical College in 1986, followed by an MS from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune and a DNB qualification from AIIMS in 2004. During his extensive career, which includes serving in the Indian Army for more than two decades, Dr. Sircar has treated soldiers for war injuries.
