Brief About Dr. K. A. Salam
Dr. K. A. Salam, a renowned Neurologist from Calicut, India, has an impressive career spanning over 40 years. With a special interest in Stroke, Neuroimmunology, and Behavioral Neurology, he has made significant contributions to the field. Dr. Salam obtained his MBBS degree from J.N. Medical College, Belgaum in 1974, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Govt Medical College, Mysore in 1978. He further pursued DM in Neurology from Govt Medical College, Madras in 1983. Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Neuroscience Department at Baby Memorial Hospital and founded the Calicut Neurological Society (CNS), which has become a thriving platform for knowledge exchange. Dr. Salam has also served as the president of the Neurological Society of India (NSI) Kerala chapter and the Kerala Association of Neurologists (KAN).
