Owned by the Ministry of Human Resources Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), the Tun Abdul Razak PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that combines medical and vocational rehabilitation services. The sole purpose of this rehabilitation center is to assist SOCSO insureds and employees in their physical and vocational recovery so they can eventually return to society and the workforce to the best of their abilities.
Particularly in the areas of robotic therapy, sensory therapy, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, prosthetic and orthotic development, work hardening, and industrial rehabilitation, they are the front-runners in medical rehabilitation programs. This Cybernetics Centre provides Cyberdyne HAL therapeutic services to patients with spinal cord or brain injuries, such as paralysis, neurodegenerative illnesses, and so on. It is the first in Malaysia, the ASEAN area, and the world.
