Dr.Bhaskar Viswanathan, Head of Radiation Oncology at Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, attended Frank Anthony Public School and National College in Bengaluru. In 1997, he received his MD from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. In 1998, he completed a one-year clinical research assignment at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.
He began working as an assistant professor at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in 1998 and stayed for eight years. Aside from clinical practice, he completed brief academic courses in genetic engineering and human molecular genetics at the Indian Institute of Science research lab and received training at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) Bengaluru campus.
