Brief About Dr. Ramani Narasimhan
Dr. Ramani Narasimhan is a highly regarded Pediatric Orthopedician based in New Delhi, India. With an impressive 33 years of experience, Dr. Narasimhan specializes in both traumatic and non-traumatic orthopedic disorders and diseases. He has been recognized for his outstanding contributions in the field, receiving the prestigious “Dr. B. N. Sinha Gold Medal” award from Lucknow University in 1991 for his exceptional work as a Resident Orthopedic and his outstanding clinical thesis. In 2008, he was honored with the “Exemplary Contribution Award” for Pediatric Orthopedics by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
Dr. Narasimhan is a member of several esteemed organizations, including the Indian Orthopedic Association (IOA), Association of Spinal Surgeons India (ASSI), and Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy (IACP), among others. He has held leadership positions as the Ex-President of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of India (POSI) and Secretary of the Pediatric Orthopedic Foundation (POF).
Throughout his career, Dr. Narasimhan has actively participated in numerous workshops and conferences, presenting papers on various topics related to pediatric orthopedics. Some of the notable conferences he has attended include the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of India (POSICON) in Vadodara, Allahabad, Vellore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Madurai, as well as the ‘Ghaziabad Orthopaedic Club’ meet in Ghaziabad. He has also participated in meetings organized by the Arthroscopic Society of the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOACON) in Pune and Bangalore, the IOA Instructional Course on “Hip Disorders” at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, and the “2nd International Course on Spinal Surgery and Workshop on Spinal Fixation Systems” in Coimbatore.
Dr. Narasimhan has been invited as a guest speaker at various events, including the ‘Decision Making in Ambulatory Pediatrics’ at Sir Gangaram Hospital in August 2002, the ‘Indian Academy of Pediatricians (IAP) – Gurgaon’ meet in 2000, and the 20th annual convention of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in 1999. He has also participated in international conferences such as the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) meeting in San Diego and “The Management of Cerebral Palsy” conference in Sydney.
