Brief About Dr. Rubina Shanawaz
Dr. Rubina Shanawaz is a highly respected Gynecologist and Obstetrician with extensive experience of over 11 years. She is based in Bangalore, India and is currently affiliated with Fortis Hospital on Bannerghatta Road.
Dr. Shanawaz specializes in various areas including fertility treatment, urinary tract infection, menstrual disorders, and pelvic dysfunction. Her expertise has been recognized through numerous awards, such as the Prof Savithri Subramanyam Endowment Gold Medal and the Dr. Pagadala Rajaram Gold Medal in 2009. She has also been honored with the Solvay Pharma India Ltd Gold Medal for her exceptional performance in clinical and oral university examinations.
Dr. Shanawaz completed her MBBS from Sri Ramachandra University in 2005, followed by an MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2009. She further pursued a FICS in General Surgery from the International College of Surgeons in 2013, and a Certificate training in Urogynecology from Madras Medical College in the same year. Prior to her current position, Dr. Shanawaz served as a consultant at Motherhood Hospital Indiranagar. She is an active member of the Karnataka Medical Council, International College of Surgeons, and International Urogynecological Association.
Dr. Shanawaz’s special interests lie in the treatment of urinary tract infections, urinary tract/bladder stones, urinary incontinence, fertility issues, menstrual disorders in adolescent girls, and contraception advice, including Mirena (Hormonal IUD).
