Dr. Shashank Akerkar is a highly experienced Rheumatologist based in Mumbai, India. With over 13 years of expertise, he specializes in the treatment of various conditions such as Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Systemic Sclerosis (Scleroderma), Psoriasis, Rheumatism, Arthritis and Pain Management, Myositis, Articular Pain, and Leg length inequality.
Dr. Akerkar has made significant contributions to the field of Rheumatology through his national and international publications. He is also frequently invited as a guest speaker in scientific meetings, CME’s, and worldwide conferences to share his knowledge on different types of Arthritis.
He is an esteemed member of the Indian Rheumatology Association and the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Akerkar completed his medical education at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital, Mumbai, followed by a specialization in General Medicine from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College. He further pursued a fellowship in Rheumatology from the American College of Rheumatology.
